Relationship Growth On Trip With More After, Two Day Work Week, Dinner With Science Department, Outdoor Swim At Gym, First Haircut in Seven Years

Faye and I took our first trip together.  We went to Hong Kong for two nights and Macau for one night.  The entire trip felt very rushed, and we argued a bit, but we still had a good time.  We had some meaningful conversations and I came to realize that I need to learn to relax and take it easy on vacation.  After the trip she came over for a night and we had some more meaningful talks about our childhoods and life experiences.

The pictures above are from Shenzhen as we left on the ferry to HK.
This photo is when we arrived in HK.

The photos above are some of the streets in Mong Kok, HK.

Faye got me that cute little Jerry Mouse which I carried around in my pocket for most of the day.

We got some food and did some window shopping.
These coffee mugs were funny on their own but were even more entertaining to arrange into provocative poses.

A late night dinner.  Faye cannot help but be silly.

Some drinking at J. Moon and some other bars led to some blurry pictures and it was my turn to be silly.
On Sunday we rushed to my hair appointment where I had planned to donate my hair.  Turns out it was too short even after seven years of growing.  I moped about that for little while but was quickly distracted by a free visit to the HK Zoological and Botanical garden and a foggy hike up Victoria peak.
THESE SHORTS. Wish I bought a pair.

By the time I got to the top of the mountain I was no longer brooding about not being able to donate my hair.  We got dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant and ate way too much.  We took the cable car/trolley back down.  I took a picture of the HK money because I was going to exchange it for Macanese Pataca the following day.

Before leaving HK we got some Zao Cha (Dim Sum) for breakfast. Macau was much nicer than HK in my opinion.  It was prettier at night, had more historical scenery, and was generally more laid back. After we arrived and checked into the hotel we went out and got some drinks at a rooftop bar and then walked around to see the sights.

Before leaving Macau we got breakfast and then walked around before visiting the Torre de Macau.

When we got back to Shenzhen I apologized for all the arguing and took responsibility for being uptight for the majority of the trip.  We had a great time together and I was also able to recognize that going forward our trips need to be less planned out with as little pressure as possible. No appointments, no deadlines, no advance bookings, and no rushing anywhere.  If we travel again, and I hope we do, it will need to be somewhere we can both relax to our fullest.

On Friday night I got dinner with the science department at Masala Bites.

I had a two day work week after we got back.  I had some gym make up to do so Thursday I swam in the outdoor pool at the Hilton location of my gym.  On Saturday I also ran to the 1979 location, did a 26 min warm-up followed by a long full upper body workout, a walk to the Hilton location, and a 20 minute swim.

Today, after 7 years without a haircut, I finally got a new do.  The barber had a cute pupper that I gave scritch scratches afterward.  Then I got dinner.

I booked all my flights for summer travel.  The next couple of months are going to be a bit of slog.  My posts may be less frequent with less to recount but thanks to those who keep reading.
